I was raised in Brasil, worked in the Amazon as an aerial photographer, and thought all those beautiful plants were weeds. I had to come to the U.S. to really appreciate how wonderful they were!

Am now a Master Gardener, in South Florida, constantly trying to recreate what I left behind. And have a bad habit of going into other people's gardens and weeding, cleaning out palms, whatever. Friends have threatened to put a t-shirt on me that says "It's okay, she's a Master Gardener."
