We are Canadians fortunate to be able to winter in FLorida. Last year we purchased in Fort Myers in a park. It is nice to be able to take advantage of the activities and pool available but you cann't keep a gardener from gardening and I have done so with tropicals, vines shrubs etc.

In Canada we have an acre of land. A few years ago I began introducing tropicals in large tubs around our inground pool and enclosed area. Each year more tubs and more tropicals where purchased. The only problem is that all these tubs have to come indoors.
When I suggested to my husband Ian, that we look at wintering in the south, rather than building a green house, to my surprise he agreed.
He is hoping that I not extend the gardening efforts in Fort Myers this year though, as he was on the golf course quite a lot last year and hopes to do so this winter.

I'll be down in a couple weeks. Ian not until a little later. Hope to meet some gardeners this year.
Excellent gardening information Thank you
