Hello. Im a Canadian living on a semi-tropical volcanic island (Tenerife - Canary Islands, SPAIN) located off the northwest African coast.

I love to grow roses among our cactii and palm trees.

My husband and I live in an urban area but are lucky to have a spacious quiet garden where I have spent a lot of my time. (Garden time has been substantially reduced since I got my PC and my cameras !)

Im a digital photo amateur and enjoy my cameras. The first was the Olympus C-990 Zoom which finally wore out, the C-750 Ultra Zoom and the Olympus Stylus 800. I have that little one with me always and take photos everywhere, including restaurants, garden and kitchen. This holiday island of Tenerife also has many fascinating landscapes and unusual semi-tropical plants, which provide interesting subjects for photography. Im now learning to use my new Canon DSLR.

Like most amateur gardeners Im always looking for advice and ideas. Im finding the Computer Help Forum to be a great source of information, as well as the ever-friendly Cooking Forum where I join in with my recipes and photos of homecooked and restaurant meals.

Im also a mom to two spoiled furbabies.
