I built and landscaped the pond co-inciding with the new deck in 2001. It was a lot of work, but every minute/hour/day and month was well worth the effort. Pondering is is the most favorite pass time that I have ever had. I was thinking, since I was a little kid I have always be infactuated with streams and ponds, cattails, frogs and marsh marigolds..now I have my own right in our backyard...now theyll likely never get me away from here...Ha Ha. I added a bog and pea gravel filter onto the pond in the spring of 2002 and then added an other piece onto the bog later in the summer. In the summer I added a tiny little trickling creek with two little pools that flow under the rock pathway and flow back into the pond..I Love It...(it is a bit of a miniature) that accents what I have previously constructed. I have CPs in the bog and am infactuated with them. Love to get advice and give advice from my experiences. Not into Koi, but dearly love our goldfish. My favorite saying is....perennials.....they just get in my way...each and every year I want to change things and make it look better or go with a different theme.
