I was a longtime member of Gardenweb years ago (from about 1996 or so I think? or was it 98...) and recently rekindled my interest in it. I couldn t remember my username in full or my password, so rather than screw with it, I just re-signed up. ;)
My husband, Tom, and I live on 68 acres just west of Austin where we raise Longhorns for our beef, hogs for our pork, chickens for our eggs, and horses for our pleasure. The horses are running Paints, APHA registered.

As far as gardening goes, I love to grow just about everything except cactus (they grow so sloooooow... and at times I m an "instant gratification" kind of gal ;). I have a nice collection of brugmansias, hibiscus, and houseplants, as well as other things like dwarf cavendish bananas, water plants, and miscellaneous perrennials in the flowerbeds. I also have two large ponds and a few small "wine barrel" water gardens. LOVE those! :)
But my love is my vegetable garden. I ve been going nuts for the last two years without it. Looks like this will be the year we have one again!
