I've been growing Australian rainforest natives for about 10 years after discovering the huge diversity of tropical & subtropical plants,growing right on my doorstep. My 1'st garden had 42 trees 64 shrubs & countless understory plants,vines,ground-covers etc. My wife & two girls love the garden & hejp out when they can. Sophie,my 3yr old is my own personal bug controll officer. The neibours are'nt so impressed because she catches all the grasshopers(brapoppers)& trows them over the fence.
Most of the plants in that garden had edible fruits or were endangered/rare sp.
I have a new house and a yard which I have striped bare ready for some new insperation.
