My husband and I and our teenaged son bought a 6 acre place near Gainesville, FL, last year, and have fat little miniature horses (my dream!!!), a mini donkey who guards them, and a wonderful "rescued" greyhound-mix dog. I've put in a small garden plot and have begun lots of compost piles (the horses are cooperating beautifully.) I am pretty new to gardening since we lived on a sailboat for the last 6 years, and so far I love it! I especially want to grow vegetables, as organically as possible. And I love this site!!!
