I live in central Alabama and my father always had a big garden,not so much for pleasure as much as for good winter eats.My mother canned and froze vegetables and was also the best cook I have ever known.My father, brother, and me hunted and fished so the freezer was never too low.I'm new to gardening by myself but I know alittle!
