I live in Springboro OH on 2.75 acres. We've been there for three years and have 2 pear trees, 1 peach tree, multiple crabapples, and 4 mature apple trees (all of unknown varieties). Half of my favorite apple tree fell over this year in one of the big wind storms, hence the username.

I've ordered 10 more apple trees (3 Liberty, 3 Golden Russet, 3 Northern Spy, and 1 Kingston Black) to plant this coming spring (2005). My main use of the apples will be sweet and hard cider.

I have also started 25 or so black walnut trees to "reforest" some of the backyard (all 1 season old at this time). There is about a quarter acre or so of existing woods in the very back of the yard.

I have started composting this fall, I used to have a worm bin at the old house, but it didn't make it through the move and birth of our second child.
