I am a former WSU Master Gardener who returned to college at nearly forty years of age to become an Registered Nurse. I now currently work as an RN at our local hospital on the inpatient psychiatric floor.

I no longer have as much time to devote to my garden as I once did, and it has become quite an eyesore. I have downsized by eliminating some beds and its becoming more manageable. My soil is nothing more than dredge silt that was pumped out of the river many years ago. It holds no moisture or nutrients but I guess I shouldnt complain...at least its not clay and I can ammend the daylights out of it! Edible gardening is probably my favorite. I have several kinds of berries and love heirloom vegetable gardening.

Along with gardening, I have a variety of other hobbies, including beading, sewing, and knitting. Ive discovered that shopping for yarn is as addictive as shopping for fabric!
