Not much to tell really.
We live at 5600’ altitude and our soil is decomposed granite; we have a lot of sun and are located on a southern slope. All the garden area is terraced due to the steepness of the terrain. Our natural vegetation if douglas fir, Juniper, and sage brush and rabbit brush with a few cactus. Our annual precipitation is 11" which I understand puts us on a par with parts of New Mexico. Xeriscapeing is useful to this area. We have a small attached greenhouse where were grow salad greens, tomatoes, and house wintering over geranimums, and raise orchids.
