My name is Chris Johnston and have been playing at bonsai for about nine years. However, last year I began studying bonsai seriously under Boon Manakitivipart. A whole new world has opened up to me--serious bonsai study, work on high-quality bonsai trees, a search for bonsai excellence, and the need to produce beautiful specimens.

All the personality issues of fighting for turf, and "doing things my own way" mean nothing. To judge a self-proclaimed teacher, one must see his or her trees. This is the only test.
