Hello whoever is reading this!! My real name is Ryan and I recently discovered in my young age that I am a born gardener. I got my college degree in Mechanical Engineering, but realized after a few years in the field that it was not for me. Although I am still fascinated by engineering science, it has taken a back seat to what I'd like to make more a part of my life - gardening. More specifically, I am interested in large scale organic crop production, in greenhouse or out.

I can't understand how someone can take for granted the miracle of planting a few dozen seeds of something and getting buckets of food out of it!! Add to this the fact that growing your own vegetables yields much healthier food and you have what seems to me to be a no-brainer. I have been known to catch myself standing looking at my garden under full sun in a semi-trance at what is going on there: the transcendence of mother earth from mineral to vegetable.

So that is what drives my gardening nature. Thanks for reading this!!
