2005 was my first year gardening and it has been a wonderful year. The people Ive met here on GW are the greatest, without your help I would have never been able to do the things I have.
I love growing roses and am now getting into companion plants. The problem with that is finding dwarf/small varieties as I live in the country and sometimes the wind is ferocious and knocks down anything it can. (I have seen a neighbors lawn chair go by my house and he lives 3/4 of a mile away. LOL)
Ive gone with an angel and cherub theme thru out my gardens and am amazed at all the different ones available.
I have about a 1/2 acre of yard to play with and just getting started means I have lots left to do. People keep saying "Wow, thats a lot of hard work"..I tell them that they dont get it...its not work, its therapy, relaxation and a sense of sastisfaction when it all comes together. Doesnt work..they still think Im nuts. LOL
