Native water garden 90 % complete. Now working on new planting beds. A mixture of shade; dry and wet. Sun:dry and wet. Started planting Siberian iris in large boggy area and next attempt finding large leaf rubarb, an ornamental.
Looking for plants deer don't like, yea right! Front of house \"cottage look\", side garden, shade with great ganite rocks. Like texture and color in the garden, blending plant colors with grey rocks and a maroon red shale we have. We have loads of stone, they grow best here. My collection of \"bent\" shovel's grows each year! Collect native plants from new building construction sites. Most of the time they give permission, try it in your neck of the woods.
