Im gardening in rocky southwest Connecticut and although I have an acre of property I am on a hillside and dont have much gardening space. My garden is terraced by stone walls and four raised beds (4 x 12 ft. each). I like growing vegetables and flowers (especially bulbs and perennials).
In Fall 2004 I took two raised beds and built an unheated hoophouse that is 10 x 12 and about 8 feet high. I plan to use it mostly as a season extender. I like growing heirloom tomatoes because I have fond memories of the intense flavor that tomatoes used to have "in the old days." Besides growing them I also like eating vegetables!
