I am a Horticulture Teacher at a Juvenile Correctional School in Owensboro, Kentucky. We have a greenhouse and 3 large fish ponds. We grow bedding and perennial plants. We are also attemping to raise Koi and Goldfish. There are two schools here one is a daytreatment. These kids go home at night to be with their families. The other is a residential school and these kids live here. They stay from about a year to 2 years. They love plants and working with them. We have a lovely campus that the kids get to plant and care for. This is so good for the kids. They may not all get jobs in Horticulture but I can assure you they are all enriched because of what the learn here.
