I am a new homeowner, with a large lot. My house and garden have plenty of potential, but I don't know where to start! I just recently became very interested in gardening, especially planting flowers. The exterior of my house is very boring and bland, and so I am trying to "brighten up" my landscape with colorful flowers and bushes. I live in Indiana (zone 5). Any tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks :-)
