Hi - my name is Heather!

My family has just moved to Ohio from Ontario - and we were not allowed to bring any live plant material! So, once again, we are starting from scratch!

We actually bought our home more for the yard than the house! We have lovely mature honey locust, sweet gum, hickory and maple trees for shade and are well off the road for an extra bit of safety for the children.

We have two small children who love to run and play outdoors - and now that we have just under 1 acre we won't be bumping into each other quite so much! We home school the children, which allows us pleanty of time out doors - first hand natural studies! Right now we are frantically trying to get the inside of the house in better shape so that as soon as the warm weather hits we can get out and get planting!

I garden in the same colours as my grandmother and her grandmother - and now our daughter is following along! We are partial to anything blue, pink, purple and we are passionate about fragrance and roses of course! We have a soft spot for really tall sunflowers and only wish they came in purple, pink or blue!

I live in: United States

My zone is: new 2 Ohio
