I grew up on the edge of the old Black Swamp in Northwest Ohio, but currently live and garden in NE Ohio, near Lake Erie. My house was built in 1919 and occupies a small urban lot which I am working on turning into a courtyard garden. I am using as many edibles and low-maintenance/native plants as possible in an effort to meld form and function in my garden design.
