I have been a butterfly gardener since 1986, a student of wildflowers since 1979, and a cactus grower since age 8. I also work on microfossils of Texas, Virginia, and anywhere else that presents a reasonably handy exposure of sedimentary rock. My profession is commercial lawyer/arbitrator/mediator, but I spend my spare time in the field, mostly checking out the nectar and food plant preferences of the local butterfly fauna so as to be able to import such plants to my backyard garden.
