Hello All,

We are a young couple who have just bought a suburban "Great Australian dream .25 of an Acre", and one of the great points about this block was the huge backyard of basically just lawn (which is sooooo gone!!), and a few perenials.....A blank canvas for us to create with!

Anyway, we are about 3 months into the backyard so far, with 8 fruit trees planted including a Hass Avocado.

I have also bought in a few trailer loads of Mushroom Compost to spread amongst the trees, on a nice thick bed of paper to supress the weeds for a while.

We love the garden and have a grand plan which will probably alter too many times to go into here, but that is gardening and that also is life.

Anyway, I will stop nattering now and get back to looking at some of the great forums on GWAU.
