I grew up on a "dryland" farm in Texas, where there was never enough water for flowers. I came to California and fell in love with the native plants and developed an interest in protecting them, both for themselves and for animal and bird habitat. I progressed through several lives; teacher, mother, environmental activist, writer, interior plant business, contractor to my current phase, landscape designer (Not an ad--just a description)
