it s hard to believe, but I m taking a "vacation" from gardening this year, I have retired and plan to travel most of this year. I find myself wondering if I can grow a tomatoe in a pot in the camper even though I know it is NOT a good idea.LOL I m spending the year traveling in a small RV and hope to see the south and southwest before I am too old to get up the hills. UPDATE, 1 year later well the year is up and I am in AZ in the desert and possitively loveing it. I have ordered several desert plants for the yard but have no idea what will survive here. The only domestic plant in the yard is a yellow iris. Everything else is native vegetation. A few attempts to transplant native stuff have beeen total flops so I have a lot to learn. Now I m trying to root some natives in pots to get them going before I set them out. My potted herbs do seem quite happy here.
