When I purchased my home six years ago, I was completely new to taking care of a lawn. I've learned a few tricks over the years, but I'm not very familiar with really technical stuff. I love my front lawn, but the back lawn I turned over to my two young grandsons as their playground. Swing set, child-size pool, seesaws, trampolene and other playsets fill their days with enjoyment, and I love that, too - even though I initially wanted a formal landscaped garden with stream and waterfall.
