Engineer by education, but a life-long passion for trees. Lived in Jefferson National Forest, SW Virginia for 16 yrs. Now have a small home w/about an acre of cleared, mostly bottomland soil & bordering stream in mountainous rural western Maryland at ~900' elevation. This gives an opportunity to plant what I want.

Transpanted trees since a young kid in MD -- prb'ly transplanted/planted 250 trees by myself of many types, including a nearly 20' Hemlock (had alittle help w/that) & eight 10-15' wild Rosebay rhododendrens (1 rhodo died).
