I have been gardening for well over twenty years. I am a writer and do some landscape designing. I use only organic methods for pest control. a hard thing to do when my boyfriend always tries to run for a can of spray for wasps or ants or crab grass poison. I went from gardening 8 1/2 acres to less than one acre. I have two dogs, two cats, and two children. both of which are all ready burnt out on gardening. Too many daylillies and roses at too young of an age. My boyfriend cuts everything down the moment the leaves start to brown. This leaves me with no dried plant material for crafts and few volunteers from seed. God save us from perfectionists who abhor mother nature's plan but still want to garden.
