Homeschooler, amateur naturalist, voracious reader. The only story (plant related) isn't very funny. July 7, 1997 we buried our 16 yr-old son, dead from suicide. During the first coule of months after, I read the Book of Job (looking for solace and comfort). I came across Job 14:7-9 (now my favorite & life scripture for a variety of reasons). A couple of years ago,my husband moved a small tree planted in a planter from the back to the front. It seemed to flourish for a while, then gave all appearances of dying. when all the leaves were gone, I contemplated cutting it down. Before I could get around to it (sound familiar?) I noticed green fuzz, then tiny leaves - the tree budded and leaved out once again. I still don't even know what kind of tree it is; all I know it that it is my "Job Tree".
