I have been organic gardening for the past twenty years. My main focus is whole food as i and my husband are vegetarians.The types of vegetables and herbs that i grow are heritage and endangered native american.Most of the food we grow is either dryed or kept in a root cellar. I particularly love growing endangered native american beans, corn and squash which i use fresh, dryed and ground up for flour to make bread. My goal this season is to be totally sefl sufficient by this winter and only having to the odd condiment.My granddaughter is taking environmental science at university because she wants to take over my gardens when i croak.
