I'm a young, inexperienced bonsai enthusiast in the middle of the U.S. I'm taking Japanese at school, and someday I hope to go to Japan for an apprenticeship in bonsai. My motto is, "Any tree can be a bonsai, as long as you have a big enough shovel and a big enough pot." I think there is potential for beauty in every tree, even if it takes a some time and effort to bring it out.
