I'm a long-frustrated gardener who has never owned any land and was renting a lightless condo for 15 years. Many years ago, I tended my brother's garden for a while, so I'm not a total novice. I've just been dormant.

In September 2004, I moved into the first floor of a group house with a totally neglected garden that has me overexcited with ideas, and then I found this website. The landlord said I could garden ...

I have to deal with a lot of weeds, shade, rocks, solid groundcovers, and ugly gravel and concrete. I'm hoping to learn a lot from everyone about how to deal with these problems, especially since I need to garden cheaply on rented land with a very limited budget!
