We live the Phenix City, Alabama/Columbus, Georgia area. Our home sits on 3.5 acres. The front acre receives quite a bit of sun and is mostly open. There are a few maples and a saw-tooth oak.

The middle acre is where the house sits along with decks on the back of the house. This area is lightly wooded with oaks, pines and a few sweet gums (yuck!). We're presently working on turning this area into a woodland garden with paths winding through it and leading to the final acre which is more heavily wooded with a small wet season stream winding through it.

Immediate goals are to develop a woodland garden immediately behind the house, to add a walking bridge over the wet season stream bed, and to add a gazebo just on the heavier woodland line.
