Have just designed and built my first garden from scratch ... loved every frustrating minute of it. I am amazed and astounded with the wealth of desert flora--mesquites and palo verdes are my favorite trees right now...

I think hypertufa--or tufa--just rocks!! ... plastered a small retaining wall with it, built two funky troughs and some planters ...
