I'm gardening again after a several-year hiatus brought on by 'the last straw' in my long list of challenges: invasive burmuda grass. I live at 4,000-ft elevation in southern AZ, battling not only burmuda grass but harvester ants, curved-bill thrashers, and lately pigweed! Planted a late garden in mid-July, first frost not until late Oct.-Nov. so it should be okay. Hope to learn all the variables and have a little success this time. Want to put up a hoop house to extend the season through the winter, and eventually filter all house greywater through a 'bog' of ornamental plants and into tilapia tanks and planting beds inside the hoophouse.

I live in: United States

My zone is: 8
