I live in suburban Maryland near the USDA complex in Beltsville. I have always had a vegetable garden of some sort or another, but in recent years I have in addition started to plant fruit trees. Currently,in addition to blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, I have the following fruit trees: a nectarine, Stanley plum, two khaki persimmon trees, a Medlar, two pear trees, nanking cherries, rugosa roses, cornelian cherry, sour cherry, apple, juneberry. Most of these fruit trees are still young and have not yet produced fruit, with the exception of the nectarine.
