I am currently working on creating a bird friendly habitat in my backyard by providing supplement feeders as well as shrubs. Species that have visted my plants and feeders include: Northern Cardinal, Rufus Sided Towee (special treat this year as the male has brought a female with him), Brown Thrashers, Catbird (my garden buddy), Northern Mockingbird, Cedar Waxwing, Gold finches (Though I have'nt seen them since NYC started spraying for West Nile), White Throated Sparrows, Dark Eyed Juncos, A pair of Downy Woodpeckers, A pair of tufted titmouse, Black Capped Chickadees, Baltimore Orioles, Purple Finches, Pine Siskins and yesterday (04/29/03), to my delight a first visit by a pair of Rose Breasted Grosebeak.
