Update:
2nd year of gardening in TX in my 'still new to me' home. I wanted lush - I got lush!!!!! This year everything in my garden grew like crazy.
Also I was not really 'working' in the garden as I had a new baby - so now I have a Texas tough garden for sure.
I just want to say "THANK YOU" to all the lovely helpful folks on GW for helping me get this far.

Hi All,
Just moved into a new home ( ..our first home) and I'm consumed with the idea of growing a lush garden in no time and with no knowledge or experience. Hahahah!!!!
But I'm gonna change my dream into a reality .. already my little patch of mud is sprouting something green. (goodness .. those are weeds u say?!!)
So help me along folks..
