I help other people take care of their gardens, rarely do they do much beyond smiling and agreeing to suggestions. I am extremely impatient with people who take money for making mistakes on other people's land. The older I get the more I favor something like licensure for landscapers. We might require landscapers to attend continuing ed as well as teaching homeowners. Since most of the middle class has no exposure to growing anything community ed is very needed and it should be good science, not wishes and anecdotes about single occasions.
