I have moved from Perth to Esperance on the south coast of WA. It is much cooler with just the odd really hot day which I can cope with. There was just Kikuyu grass on the block most of which I hope to get rid of eventually. I brought as many plants as I could and all bar one of the roses have survived and most of the perennials.
I love propagating. I beg or buy seed, take cuttings and while I am not too successful at times I will have a go. I have had a lot of help from the various garden forums.
I put in two raised beds for veges and now have good crops coming along of tomatoes, pumpkins, corn, beans and zucchini. My first ever good crops.
My family are all grown up, and one daughter has moved here, so I now have access to a car to get around as I have never learned to drive. Just think of all the stuff you cannot get without a car and trailer!!!
