I'm a police officer, and due to my penchant for flowers, frills and lace, my mother likes to refer to me as \"guns and roses\". I suppose I'm a romantic at heart, and enjoy reading things like Victoria magazine, the \"Merry Hall\" book series, the \"All Things Bright and Beautiful\" series by James Harriott, \"A Year in Provence\", and so on.

The first year I bought my house I spend about a lot of money on plants and such for the landscape and left the interior looking like a shack. Now I've had the house 5 years, and I finally have everything just how I want it! When I'm not playing in the garden, I'm usually riding my horse, which is my other great time and money consuming hobby.
