I began gardening in 2004...the year after my husband and I opened a miniature golf course in West Monroe, LA. We decided it would be much less expensive if we maintained the landscaping ourselves rather than pay a professional to do it for us. It has certainly been a learning experience for me!

Our 3/4 acre has crape myrtles, hawthorne, azaleas, anthony waterer spirea, daylilies, oleanders, several other shrubs, and lots of annuals. We also have a pond and waterfall that we've added water plants and fish to in order to keep the water clear.

Unfortunately, I spend so much time working the gardens at the golf course, that I don't have much time to devote to my landscape at home...it's a good thing that the home we bought last summer has a very low maintenance landscape plan! I concentrate mostly on container plants under my patio at home.
