We just bought our first home in May 2002, and I've been discovering and trying to identify the many plants in our yards. I'm interested in learning propagation techniques (this is my first year growing from seeds and cuttings, rather than buying plants) and I love trading plants/seeds as a way to share what I have and keep costs down for acquiring new things :) I'm also new to water gardening - I have put in a small container pond with a fountain, and plan to add fish and plants this spring.

I'd love to meet other people in the area interested in gardening and/or trading/sharing plants. I'm in Livermore CA, just a little bit east of the bay area, which makes me USDA zone 9 and Sunset zone 14.
