I have two fairly large flower beds and one smaller one on an acreage by a beautiful lake in northern Alberta. The soil is heavy clay and hasn't been amended as well as it should so I am still working on that. One flower bed is shady and soggy, one is hot and dry and one is sort of ordinary semi-shade. I love all kinds of flowers especially the little ones and especially the ones who can survive the kind of weather we are blessed with. I am amazed there are so many. My last baby is leaving the nest this June so the only ones I'll have left are my plants (sigh).
