I love all different type of plants and flowers. According to the standard of our neighbors, our lawn and garden are full of weeds, but to me they are flowers, grand it, I did not plant them but they have beautiful flowers all the same. In January, I have sour grasses. It has pretty bright yellow flowers that last for months, and then there is Dandelions with it tiny little flowers that resemble a sunflower; and there is another plant with gorges tiny purple flowers (this one I dont know what its call.) Few years ago, there were some plants pops up in our tomatoes beds. At first I did not know what it was and neither did my husband. They were healthy bunch. I did not have the heart to pull them up so I water them until one day they bloom with tiny yellow flowers in bunches. Surprise! Surprise! They were the wild muster that grew along California freeway and on the hillside. The birds love it; they came and feast on the flower heads each early morning and early afternoon. I have a relaxing time watching them busy hopping from branch to branch finding something to fill their bellies. Butterflies also buzzing about. Other year I have some mystery plants came, I waited for few months then I pulled on up to see what it was and there low and be hold there was a small red potatoes at the end of it. The year before last I had a cantaloupe vine, last year a Butter Nut Squash vine and some time-to-time I had some Sunflowers came up. To me all these surprised came up from my lawn and garden are gift from Mother Earth and I always delighted with their flowers and fruits. Who said there is no free lunch? I have two adorable dogs. The male dog name Apollo; he is two years old ,long wirehair Terrier with big, sad, liquid chocolate eyes. The other one is female Mini Pincher, she just turn a year old this May. Apollo is very calm when he is in the house, the female Mini Pincher name Cyere. She is always busy running around the house and in the yard looking for something to eat, she has insatiable appetite.
