I live in Durham NC, where I somehow enjoy the challenges of gardening in heat, humidity, drought, bugs; at least we have a longer growing season than my native PA! I am also a very budget-conscious gardener, and have built my garden around plants aready here (irises, daylilies, crocosmias), though languishing in deep shade until I moved here in 2000 and dug up much of the front lawn to give them full sun. I keep adding and changing, and love gardening year-round, giving away plants, talking about plants, and the gardenweb.
