Hello. Welcome. In case you were wondering, yes, that's my real name, and no,it isn't short for anything.

I garden (fanatically) in northern Manitoba, Canada. The map says that's zone 0b. My perennials say zone 4 and sometimes more, depending. The plants live here. Makers of the maps don't, which kinda explains the situation as well as my determination to mostly ignore the rules. Anyway, there's a certain satisfaction in pushing limits. With seventy frost free days, extra long because of the high latitude, summer means intensive gardening.

Winter brings short days, extreme cold, and sometimes, excessive whining. Remembering that summer is paradise isn't easy. Visiting other gardens through your words on the forums, helps. Email's a blessing, too.

I live in: Canada

My zone is: farnorthcanada

My favorite forum 1 is Perennials.

My favorite forum 2 is Northern Gardening.
