Ive been learning about growing garlic and every year I plant a little more. Id like to plant enough heads and enough varieties to last for most of a year. In addition to garlic, I want to give growing shallots a try. Aside from vegetable gardening, I also love to plant shrubs and flowers. Conifers and hostas are my newest interests, conifers in particular. I want to plant a variety of conifers and Japanese maples in my back yard. Weve been composting for years and found you can never have too much compost. Its so gratifying to take kitchen waste and watch it transform into black gold.
