I enjoy organic gardening, both vegetables and flowers. Here on Long Island, we seem to have mini-climates, and the area I live in seems cooler than most in the spring. Happy Gardening to all. I also compost year round, using horse manure, leaves, kitchen scraps, and coffee grounds.
I found the method of Winter Sowing from its founder Trudi about 3 seasons ago, this is a wonderful method of starting seeds, and the forum has become my favorite place to be, to exchange seeds, to chat and just become all warm and fuzzy there. I still do indoor seed starting for the more tender annuals, but Winter Sowing is the way to go.
