I am just getting started trying to grow a garden in Alaska. I just got frustrated with the tomatoes that we get in the store, that I wanted to taste a real tomato like I used to grow many years ago.

I am a dentist in SE Alaska. I grew up in San Diego, but moved to Whidbey Island after graduation to be a Navy dentist. We then moved to western Montana for many years. The last 17 years have been in Alaska. I have tomatoes, several kinds of cherries and plums and I am just trying to get some rhododendrons going. I am also active in Magic, balloon twisting and Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships.
