When we moved to our new home, the yard had absolutely nothing, I mean nothing in the yards, except one lone tree. I started buying clearanced shrubs, trees, perrenials, and starts from my neighbors. My husband was skeptical as to my gardening ability. He complained alot about how odd everything looked and thought I had done a "bang-up job". I got discouraged and cried alot and wished I had just left it all bare, the way he likes it. Except now, in the fourth year of growth, everything looks beautiful and the neighbors have been asking me for advice about how to fix up their yards! I found your site only recently and appreciate the advice and comments I have been reading. The alfalfa tea comments are really funny. I tried that over two weeks ago and already my floribundas are growing wild!, about one food higher and bushier! Also my Joseph's Coat is doing better than it ever has since I planted it two years ago. It will be nice to be able to get advice from others who have had similar problems and appreciate gardening as much as I do. akpkkq
